About Vitxy:
I`ve always felt attracted to colours. It’s captivating to be able to create volume and three-dimensional shapes with them. What started as a game in my childhood, it`s now my passion.
I try to express in my work all the beauty and emotions that colours have. I do it making use of fantastic creatures.
Inspiration often arises on the memory of a certain colour or nuance captured during a travel, a dream or any other event in my daily life. One could say that the range of colours came up before the sketch itself.
For me, a key element is the eyes. In fact, eyes are normally the turning point in my works. That`s my way of giving the canvas the ability to see and guide me while carrying it out.
Another important element in my work is the hair. It`s portrayed as those ribbons we played with in our childhood. These are like hidden thoughts, which are rocked by the wind in a continuous movement, full of colours, lights and shadows.
